Can I Request That Cleaners Don’t Wear Shoes Inside My Property?

Category: Before the Cleaning Service

Absolutely. At Premium Clean, we respect your preferences when it comes to keeping your space clean and comfortable—including requests to remove or cover shoes inside your premises.

To ensure both cleanliness and safety, our standard practice is for cleaners to wear disposable shoe covers over their footwear during service. This allows us to:

Protect your floors from dirt or marks
Maintain hygiene
Ensure cleaner safety with non-slip, closed-toe shoes

If you have a strict no-shoes policy, please let us know at the time of booking or include it in your service notes. We’ll make sure your request is followed every time.
For health and safety reasons, our cleaners are required to wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes while performing tasks. This prevents injuries from wet surfaces, sharp debris, or heavy equipment.
To protect the safety of our team, we generally do not allow cleaners to work barefoot or in socks. However, special requests may be reviewed with a liability waiver if safety risks are deemed low.
