Premium Clean NZ Announces Updated ESG Policy, Prioritising Sustainability and a Greener Future

We proudly announce a significant update to its Environmental, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG) Policy. This revised policy reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to minimising its environmental impact and fostering a more sustainable future for New Zealand.

The updated ESG Policy outlines a comprehensive strategy to reduce Premium Clean’s carbon footprint across all operations. One of the most notable initiatives involves transitioning to an Electric Vehicle (EV) fleet for both company-employed cleaning technicians and our valued franchise partners. This shift towards cleaner transportation significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions associated with daily cleaning services.

At Premium Clean, we understand the importance of environmental responsibility,” says Shirley Kohli, General Manager. “Our updated ESG Policy reflects a deep commitment to minimising our environmental impact and contributing to a greener future for New Zealand. We believe that clean doesn’t have to come at the cost of a clean environment, and we’re excited about the positive changes this new policy will bring.

The updated ESG Policy also incorporates a focus on:

  • Sustainable cleaning products and practices: Utilising eco-friendly cleaning solutions and implementing water conservation techniques.
  • Waste reduction and recycling: Minimising waste generation and promoting responsible recycling practices throughout the organisation.
  • Building a culture of sustainability: Educating employees and franchise partners on sustainable practices and fostering a culture of environmental awareness.
  • Safe Work Environment: We prioritise the health and safety of our employees. We comply with New Zealand’s Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) 2015 and leverage Safe Work Instruments (SWIs) to guide our comprehensive training programs.
  • Employee Development: We provide ongoing training opportunities, such as the IICRC certification program, to help them develop their skills and knowledge, which leads to increased job satisfaction and career growth.
  • Compliance with Regulations: We uphold a sustainable and safe work environment. This includes complying with all relevant New Zealand regulations, such as the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act (HSNO) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA).

Premium Clean NZ believes these combined efforts will significantly reduce the company’s environmental footprint and set a positive example within the cleaning industry. This commitment to sustainability aligns with New Zealanders’ growing desire for eco-conscious businesses.
